John Piper talks about how he deals with fear. One of the key elements is what he calls "fighter verses" from the Bible and he gives an illustration of a series of verses that he says he has used a thousand times in the last 50 years in his fight against the devil and against fear. "Fear not for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am your God. I will help you. I will strengthen you. I will hold you up in my victorious right-hand."

The Valley Life Women's Bible Study starting on February 13th will be "Gospel in Life" by Timothy Kelle who is pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York. "Gospel in Life" is an eight-week course on the gospel and how it is lived out in all of life— first in our hearts, then in community, and out into the world.
