"Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion,
but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly."
1 Peter 5:2 (ESV)
My wife Sarah and I have lived here in the valley most of our lives, and by God's grace, it remains our home. We have been married for 21 years and have five wonderful kids. I began serving in the church in the mid-nineties as a youth pastor and worship leader, and I served in that capacity for close to a decade. In 2005, God lead me (along with pastors Steve McGuyre and John Wiens) to plant Valley Life Church in Lebanon, OR. Soon afterward we were connected within the Acts 29 Church Planting Network (here).
God willing, I aim to pastor this church for the rest of my life. I aim to preach Jesus until I cannot speak. I aim to see leaders identified within our church and I intend to see them trained, equipped and sent out to plant new churches (2 Tim. 2:2). That is my aim… that is our aim as a church; to make more disciples and plant more churches (Matt. 28:19, 20).
So, that's the work (and I love my work); for play, I love my family and I love my friends, and any time I can go out to dinner, go camping, go disc golfing, go to the movies, play guitars, or watch Oregon play football… is time well spent for me.
My name is Steve McGuyre but my students simply call me Mac. I teach Bible at East Linn Christian Academy and co-lead here at Valley Life Church. My wife, Mindy, a nurse, and I have raised three children who love God and serve him in a variety of ways. Kari, our daughter and her husband Carl, are raising our grandchildren, Cole and Jude. Sean and his wife Jocelyn have a baby boy, Preston. Kevin is serving in the Navy special forces.
Pam and I have been married for 16 years. We have five children - Kelly, Luka, Ivan, Ember, and Hudson.
I work for The City of Sweet Home as a Police Officer.
I enjoy hanging out with my family, reading, studying the bible, visiting new places, and working out.
My wife Amy and I have been married for 17+ years and have been blessed with 4 wonderful kids. As a family we spend time taking care of our animals, playing sports, and spending time outdoors camping and hunting.
I have been a part of the Valley Life Church family since its creation, having served as a Community Group Leader, then as a Community Group Leaders Coach and now as a pastor/elder.
I have strong desire to see men grow deeper in their love of Christ so that their family, work, and play all point towards making much of Him and reflecting Him well to the world.
Heb 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.......
My name is Adrian. I live in Lebanon and am currently a substitute teacher in the Willamette Valley, as well as a part-time guitar/drum instructor. I have the great privilege of serving Jesus as a worship leader, music director, and community group leader at Valley Life. By God's grace my aim is to be a vessel used for building up a community of worshipers who's ultimate joy and passion is in seeing Jesus glorified among all peoples.
I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing and listening to good music (especially live), reading scripture and theological books, playing disc golf when the weather is nice, and watching sporting events with other fanatics.
Women's Ministry Leader
I am married to Neil and we have four grown children and 16 grandchildren. My hobbies are my grandchildren and reading. Besides Jesus, my passion is ladies ministry.
Childrens Ministry Nursery Coordinator
I am a wife of 16 years to my husband, Cody, a homeschooling mama to our 5 daughters, and a lover of Jesus, the outdoors, and coffee. I enjoy reading, photography, baking, and exploring outdoors with my family and my camera.
God has given me a heart for babies and their mamas, and I am privileged to serve as Valley Life's Nursery Coordinator. I believe the first year of a child's life can be an intense and challenging time of servant motherhood, but also one of the most joyful and grace filled seasons as we look to God for all that we need to mother our little blessings. It is my hope to minister to mothers as well as their precious babies, working to nurture the beautiful bond between mother and child. This all important connection is a child's first glimpse of Jesus' selfless love.
Children's Ministry Toddler Coordinator
I serve as Toddler Coordinator at Valley Life where my passion is teaching and working with children. We have been so humbled to serve and feel Jesus at work since the first day attending almost 4 years ago.
My husband Ryan and I have been married for 8 years and have been blessed with three wonderful boys, Weston, Wyatt and Colton. Together we enjoy working around the home and spending time with our boys. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, decorating, canning, and making a home for my family.
Children's Ministry Preschool Coordinator
I serve as preschool coordinator at Valley Life. It is such a blessing to be part of the little ones' lives and to see them grow both physically and spiritually.
My husband Jack and I have been part of this family since its beginning. We have been married 40 years, have 2 daughters, and 5 grandkids. Together we work on our ranch raising beef cattle.
